Cherokee Tours offers camping/glamping safari experiences in wildlife conservation areas with a wealth of wildlife, where you are able to go on nature walks with Maasai guides or take night drives.  All game drives operated in customized safari vehicles with a driver-guide who is a wildlife expert and certified by the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association.

 

Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli

Pick up from the Airport and drive to Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for being host to the largest concentration of elephants and other game including lions, cheetahs, warthogs, wildebeest and of course the main attraction being massive and scenic Mt Kilimanjaro.

Amboseli embodies five main wildlife habitats namely the dry lake-bed - Lake Amboseli, the open plains, the yellow-barked acacia woodland, the rocky lava thorn-bush country, the swamps and marshes. Arrive in time for your hot lunch. Enjoy your afternoon tea then embark on a  game drive till sunset.

DAY 2: Amboseli National Park

Enjoy your early morning and afternoon game drive at Amboseli National Park with a mid-morning optional Maasai cultural village visit.

Day 3: Amboseli - Lake Naivasha

Depart after an early breakfast to Lake Naivasha via the Great Rift Valley stopping for scenic view and photography. Thereafter drive to Naivasha arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon boat ride returning to the camp for a sundowner.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara

Breakfast at the camp then depart via Narok town to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch.

The Masai Mara National Reserve offers 1510 sq km of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. Wherever you go wildlife is abundant such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos.

The main attraction being the annual wildebeest migration that takes place in July and August when more than a million of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October.
Afternoon game drive return to the camp by sunset.

Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara

One full day spent game viewing whilst the next day you have an early morning and late afternoon game drive. Optional activities include the hot-air balloon safari and the Maasai cultural village visit.

Day 7: Masai Mara - Nairobi

Today marks your last day on safari. Enjoy breakfast before heading to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch at the Utamaduni Restaurant. In the afternoon you will be taken on an Out of Africa Tour which includes the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre. After this tour, you will be taken to the Airport for your outbound flight.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch.
